Avery moved to Canada from the United States and chose to stay after graduating as the political situation in the States becomes more dangerous for people of all minority backgrounds, including those who are trans and queer. They are now living in the Okanagan Valley in the unceded territory of the Syilx Okanagan Nation. Avery's illustration and comic work centers thremes of transformation, reflection, sexuality, and humor.
You can find Avery's other projects here:
Quickie is a webcomic about the lives and lusts of lesbians in the city. Quickie updates weekly and revolves around a sprawling cast of 20 and 30 somethings making it through the day. Somewhat explicit! We take our lesbian sex seriously around here!
Ribcage Press is a trans and queer zine press in the Okanagan. This project is in its infancy, and we focused on providing a place for queer and trans writers to find a collaborative space to experiment creatively and to express themselves in community.
Dilly Daily is a daily-ish short comic running on the bsky account. Silly, quick, and fun.
